The X spot

On the 19th August 2011 we learned that the X spot had been bulldozed by the local authorities. All the dirt jumps built by the local bikers were flattened, and undergrowth from the surrounding area dragged over the trails. The ground was left churned up, and the landscape raped. This has caused more damage to the woodland and surrounding environment than if the soft built trails had been left in place. From where I am sitting a few carefully built trails has far less impact on the land and wildlife habitat than the devastating process of bulldozing a whole area with heavy machinery. If the trails really had to be destroyed. Perhaps at least equal consideration should have been given to deconstruction as those who built them gave to building them. This is is a big loss for East Kent.

The videos below serve as a record of this venue.

Nice job from Andy in this Self filmed montage from May 2011.

Nobby & Ian @ The X-Spot

Filmed on Nobbys GoPro - 20-05-11

Similar footage but a re-edit of the above. Basically bunged a bit of extra footage taken from my camera.

Map

There is no map for the X-spot , A lot of hard work had gone into the venue by the local bikers. We do not want to compromise the location in case of rebuilding in the future.
