Channel Trucks:Trucks which have adjustable channels consisting of springs and rubber eggshocks.

Covet wood: Next door to Covert wood.
Covert woods: Single track heaven.
Dampener: A egg shaped rubber insert that sits inside the spring.
Downhill: A style of riding . usually riding very fast down a large hill / mountain.
Drifting: A controlled way to manage a corner at speed, by sliding the board.
Full face: A type of helmet , usually preferred by downhill riders.
Freeride: A limitless style of riding, tackling what is ever in your way.
Freestyle: A style of riding focused on tricks.
Heel straps: Used to stop feet coming out of toe bindings, helps to prevent injury's. Will usually be required to ride at a centre.
J-Turn:A u-turn on the hill, so as to start riding back up the hill in order to stop.
Kersney Abbey: Popular place for tourists and some nice single track / downhill.
Kicker: A type of small ramp / dirt jump.
Leash: A way to attach yourself to the board and prevent losing it in the event of a crash, Will be required at a mountainboard centre , if heel straps are not being used.
Lid: Crash helmet.
Maidstone: Closest town to the steepest / most demanding part of the North Downs.
Manual: Balancing on either the front or rear wheels while rolling. Like a wheelie on a bmx.

Perry woods: crossover venue - freeride / freestyle. KentATB training ground.
Powerslide:To force the board around by sliding, A more advanced way to stop.
Sandgate: Near Folkestone, downhill / freeride / dirt jumps.
Scrub: A way to reduce speed. also a British board manufacturer.
Single track: A thin tracks or paths, with enough room for one rider.
Stack: to crash.
Trampa: A British board manufacturer, marketing the unbreakable board.
